I don't think there is a single wp supported chipset that supports that much megapixels. Snapdragon S4 pro or plus supports upto 20mp. Besides, Nokia catwalk was supposed to be slim. So, how a phone with a massive 41mp camera sensor can be slim? The verge's reports are just Some Nokia fanboy's imagination. Well, then you gotta look at Nokia Lumia 990 concept.

I heard it was going to be a snazzy aluminium 18mp phone. Not 38mp. I guess we have to wait and see for sure, but even at 18mp . This will kick the living daylights out of all others. Yeahhhhh

Still the old outdated useless WP8 still the same bad designs and probably old hardware from Nokia and still the marketing gimmick with the PureVew 235235 megapixel sensors..When will you all grow up and realize that even the original PureView was still worse then a 100$ digicam?Tho the effort is appreciated and it just may make the Android manufacturers at least TRY to use decent cameras...

Check out the Pureview 808 review on this site. Look very carefully at the RESOLUTION CHART. What do you see? Lines maybe to around 3100 LPH mark. How much is that in megapixels in this case?
~12,7 MEGAPIXELS. Is that very near the advertised and hyped 41 Mp?
Some of the main reasons for such poor performance are the bayer filter and the limitations of a small lens.
The absolute max for a lens and sensor of this size would have been 25 megapixels, not 38 mp(or the advertized 41 mp).
808 also has poor dynamic range with blown out highlights. The reason for that is the small pixels.

Guys, I thought we are talking about phone devices here. Why now became a camera? Can we differentiate a CAMERA and a PHONE? Think guys, there are a lot of DSLR Camera on the market, this is called CAMERA. Phone must be phone. How do you operate lenses of this WP with 38MP Cam?
