Rare miss for Garmin. No onboard GPS and removed altimeter for stair tracking. Plus, fugly with limited bland strap colors.

    looks like they fixed all the problems that I have with my 4. Particularly the ability to replace the watch band and the ability to see the face in full sunlight.

    For people that use Garmin connect this watch is great.

      If it doesn't have built in gps all of this doesn't matter to me.

        BOLT, 21 Apr 2022All Garmin devices should have eSIM as a option to choose.No thanks. Rather have more battery on my sports watch then connectivity. If you need an esim, then get yourself a smartwatch

This fitness band is an over kill, tailored towards specific people. Not sure how accurate it is compared to Apple watch

                  the specs r so identical to my 1 1/2 years galaxy fit2. cheaper yet can do what this garmin can do, even SpO2/stress levels. battery life also the same. im a fan of Garmin, me myself using Fenix 7x SS as daily driver but this vivoamart 5.. dont know what garmin want to achieve here

                        rizki1, 21 Apr 2022what it makes so expensive than other smartband like mi ban... morethose cheap smartbands have bunch of trash sensors inside. the numbers they measure are way of the real data. they got 50-60% off the real numbers. however,garmin band has sensor that really work, even under water. vivomove5 measure almost the same accuracy as a 600-700$ sportswatch. that accuracy comes with a price.

                          what it makes so expensive than other smartband like mi band with only $20-$50?

                            a direct competitor to fitbit charge5. charge5 has bigger color display,GPS,more features,more watch faces,magnetic charger,lesser price. vivosmart5 has more accurate HR and SPO2 sensors,better battery life and that's it. actually,fitbit still seems to be a better deal.
