We all argee that Exynoses aren't desirable enough at this timeline, but not all the time. Just think that more competition from brands = more benefit for customers. The same term can be included with Chinese brands. Years before, those Chinese phones brings a lot of values compared to Westerns and Koreans, with a price that everyone can love. But this year, they priced their phones for thousands and thousands. But what does them stand out of the lame Apple and Samsung. None or even worse. Imagine $1000 phone doesn't have IPXX rating that even "2014-thing" iPhone SE or budget A33 5G have. NO headphone jack and no MicroSD card also, but only Samsung and Apple (its fault tbh) be sacrified alive while others act as nothing happened. So why I have to choose Chinese brands over A and S? At $700, people want a phone that have a brand and reputation, and that's why even in China, iPhone 13 selling like hot cakes.

Goes to show how young these commenters are. Pokemon fanbase is larger than most people think. This niche fanbase is in the clear millions and some even have children that's gonna be in highschool soon. It's an IP that been here since 1996, was clearly popular in the early 00's. Clearly some of you haven't been born yet when this was popular and some of you even criticize this niche as for kids.

I lamented on the missed opportunity of making the phone look more distinctive befitting a special edition instead of just taking a standard Flip3 and throw Pokemon-themed accessories into the package.

They actually listen to their users. Also i m pretty sure if these Chinese OEMs produce their own chips in future they won't price it more than thier performance like what samsung does with crapynos. Also 4 years of software support dosent mean samsung cant push crippled software updates to your phones. Overheating has always been issue on crapynos and i have seen it not ageing well after few years.
And why not to criticize other OEMs? they give their customers what they need. They design a phone around what customers need.

Afte... moreAhem, because hindsight is 20/20. S22 series said to broke all preorder records, but a few months after launch, Samsung announced sales falling and slower than last year's S21 series. The same thing happened to S21 and S20, initial good news followed by reports of weaker sales than previous years.
Samsung didn't even disclose how many units the Pokemon Flip3 were sold, and here you jumping to conclusion it is a huge success...
