Anonymous, 02 May 2022"Secure" these days makes me think of WhatsApp. S... moreYou are right about whatsapp...it is not safe..."encryption"doesnt mean safe...it just means there is an "encryption key" that allows both whatsapp and your government to access your messages
That aside...i wanna see the chip and whats it capable of...if its real security or just talk to build up an image...because technically speaking they can put a chip that neither them or other parties could hack...it has been done before with "no brands"

"Security chip" in a Chinese phone using android must be the biggest joke ever

George399, 02 May 2022Sorry but almost every SD 8 gen 1 phone is worthlessunless if tsmc made their own sd 8 gen 1, it wouldn't be worthless

Just give users ability to update Android ourselves via treble or other means and you'll have more sales. You waste your great hardware by not providing updates

"Secure" these days makes me think of WhatsApp. Sure, you're safe from everyone... except WhatsApp. Having all your texts and media scanned. Discord, Telegram, twitter. All of them claim privacy and safety, not a single one of them actually means it. This security chip feels more like additional anti-consumer nonsense on top of already not being able to repair most phones. Knox on Samsung causes more issues than any perceivable benefit is worth. If this is similar, I'll just get the older 30 series.

I wonder if ZTE would have access to that chip.

                and video recording ability (8k @30fps on HM3 vs 8k @24fps on HM2).

I can only dream that the Samsung hmx which outputs 27mp photos is paired with a 35mm equivalent lens that ZTE favors.

"The 100 MP claim likely means ZTE will implement the Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor in the Axon 40 Pro. The size of the sensor is 1/1.33” and it supports PDAF, Laser AF, and OIS - we expect all this tech to make it to the Axon 40 Pro." This doesn't make sense. The HM2 is not 1/1.33”
