Anonymous, 10 May 2022A phone, company and OS launcher that will fail pretty quic... moreAs someone who is studying graphix design and marketing i gotta say no, you're wrong, the whole branding idea behind this "nothing" is that they wanna differentiate from the rest phone makers and break the same casual marketing way they do, you can think of it as "i got a phone that is bothing like the rest" instead. Its a brave move to ho for something unique like that, but will it succeed? We'll see.

Grey Wolf, 10 May 2022What's the idea of these launchers? I have smartphones... moreTo answer your question. I bought a Xiaomi Mi 9 to replace my Lumia 950. The first thing I did was install Launcher 10. So I went from Windows 10 Mobile to Android with Launcher 10 to give me the same general feel. So unless I'm in settings, its hard to tell it's all MIUI underneath. I bought the Mi 9 because it had the best bang-for-buck specs(and I adored the transparent back), with Android's ability to switch launchers, I could do the switch without too much of a culture shock.
Someone else who's using Nova or whatever, they are no longer really tied to one particular Android vendor. When they switch phones, they just install Nova and get that same look+feel just with new hardware.

After my lumia I went to the Android side (on a nexus phone, then many others) because I don't like the iOS closure, but simply I did not find any completely satisfying, so I tried sever different launchers in the past 7 years.
Nova, AIO, squarehome, evie, ARC... but in the end, I found Microsoft launcher as the most reliable for me.

A phone, company and OS launcher that will fail pretty quickly because of the terrible marketing department currently in their team. Whoever thought "Nothing" was a brandable, instantly reconigisable name needs firing. The immature, ignorant "look, we're the mysterious cool new company" direction they have gone that might work on 10 year olds, just doesn't work here (hey what phone have you got, well I've got nothing/ I've got a nothing phone... Come on, not just that but it just doesn't make sense in an English sentence).

What's the idea of these launchers? I have smartphones since 2010 and I never used any third party launchers on any of my phones. And I had almost all manufacturers (even HTC, LG or Lumia phones). But then again, I am the guy who thought Windows phones tiles looked nice, lol.
Also, why would anybody buy a certain type of phone and then put Nova launcher on top? I mean, isn't the idea to buy Samsung or Xiaomi or Realme or whatever brand, because you like that phone default launcher and Ui?
