The phone performed well enough and even had decent cameras, but Huawei screwed up badly with almost non-existent software support. Subsequent Honor Play models are nothing like the original.

They killed the first version by not releasing updates now they killed it a bit more by equipping it with some puny little budget chipset. Honor Play used to come with a high specs chipset that is built for gaming. With that spec they just literally killed the legacy of the phone. That phone was specifically build to go toe to toe with poco f series of xiaomi. So what happend? .

I don't believe entry level word here.
New honor prices are far from past, prices are high. ( weak chipset and overprice)
This device couldn't be less than 150$ in global market so it's not a entry level one.
