Anonymous, 29 Jun 2022If I want to play 3DS games I usually do so on a 3DS becaus... moreThis is definitely not true at all. The heaviest mobile games cannot be run at maximum settings by the latest iPhone and optimization isn't the issue since they are priority. The iPhone overheats in mere minutes of gaming and thermal throttles resulting in fps drops.
Gaming Phones whether you like it or not are better in real world performance than iPhones or even any Android Flagships. END OF STORY

Dimensity 9000 multicore in geekbench =4300

so snapdragon 8gen1+ is weeker than Dimensity 9000

snapdragons wild overclocked so hot in real world, heavy games

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2022If I want to play 3DS games I usually do so on a 3DS becaus... moreAbout perfomance as other said before iphone can sustain perfomance only for few minutes, this is true even for Android flagship, when you continously play game for more than 30 minutes perfomance will drop.

Gaming phones are different, some they even have active cooling they can sustain perfomance for hours, hence they give consistency experience when gaming.

Anonymous, 29 Jun 2022If I want to play 3DS games I usually do so on a 3DS becaus... moreYou are not serious, dont mix Nds and 3ds, to play 3ds you need highend device from recent years, no lowend from 2017 can play 3ds, even 2022 lowend cant.

Hemedans, 29 Jun 2022Iphone is just for casual gamers, if someone spend $500 or ... moreIf I want to play 3DS games I usually do so on a 3DS because of much better controls, but if you need to do it on your phone, any 2017 low budget phone can do that. Buying a gaming phone for that is a waste, and they are advertised for performance. Problem is, a standard-issue iPhone 13 Pro will outperform it in gaming while being better as a phone as well, e.g. camera, reliability, software.

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2022Sure some of your points are correct like better optimised,... more1) The Fold has a plastic screen, which makes it impractical because of how easily it scratches, I wouldn’t buy a plastic screen phone
            2) and the SE3 has no competition, the small LCD screen and home button are unique, same with the glossy 5K display on the Studio Display. I don’t see why those should not exist. It would have been easier to say they are overpriced if there was any competition, but the 6.5 inch Android manufacturers and matte 4K monitor manufacturers don’t care.

And I don’t buy everything Apple releases just because, no I consciously decided on the iPhone SE 2020 again because the combination of LCD, small screen, and low price on an iPhone is unique in their lineup and fits my needs the best.

But none of that is a reply to my initial comment which stated that iPhones are just the best for gaming.

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2022I‘ll be blunt, if you want gaming, just get an iPhone. Game... moreIphone is just for casual gamers, if someone spend $500 or $1000 for gaming phone then probably iphone wont satisfy his needs.

              1. Iphone dont have good compability with emulators, while with android you can play up to ps2, 3ds, switch, gamecube, wii, etc.

              2. With Android you can play lot of pc games, un official ports etc

              3. No Virtual machine in Ios, nowadays Android can use VM you can play games even if they are not compatible with your phone like games made for older version of Android/ios.

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2022I‘ll be blunt, if you want gaming, just get an iPhone. Game... moreSure some of your points are correct like better optimised, released early, etc
But does it matter if you can only play for around 10 mins b4 throttling??
And dont try and justify that stupid dongle (ofc it might be the best but thats bcoz there are hardly any good "lightning" dongles, if it were USB-C, that'd have been different), what if I want to charge and game at the same time, or better allow pass-through, so that I dont hurt the battery in the process?
I personally wont buy a gaming phone bcoz I dont like such big bulky bricks nor their aesthetic (I might've given in to buy a Razer Phone tho if they ever made a new one), but they sure have a market otherwise 3-4 brands wont bother updating their models every year (or sooner). And sure foldables are still outside the realm of the general public (just like any $1000 phone) and they have their own set of problems, but that again doesnt mean that they dont have a point of existing. ofc if there was some 'i'Fold, u wouldn't be saying that. Sammy foldables sales have been steadily increasing if u ever bothered to read about it.
Besides the things that shouldnt exist are the "Studio Display", SE3, until recently the iPod, $200 upgrade options, etc

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2022According to a Dave2D video I watched, the A15 can actually... moreThat's correct up to a point, in "low performance" mode A15 can match SD888 using only the 4 efficient cores, it's insane in power with 4 small cores, that's very good for loading simple applications, for example when opening instagram big cores are activated in burst and after the app is fully launched they go back to save mode

But for games that require a lot of power you can't use save mode so all cores must work, the problem is that the big cores are not designed to withstand loads for a long time, the Avalanche cores consume 4.2W of power, while X2 is around 3.2W that's a very big difference in each big core not counting Apple uses 2 Avalanche so only 2 of their cores consume more than 8W the heat it generates is not something a phone no heatsink can handle for a long time

Golden reviewer made some videos testing it when it was released, I think it shows correctly what I say, or something like that

I think that with that everything is explained, they are much more efficient than any design in android, but that does not mean that they consume less energy

For a short time believe that A15 that performance can maintain that sustained performance consuming more than any processor in Android and without adequate cooling

I‘ll be blunt, if you want gaming, just get an iPhone. Games are better optimized, released earlier, the phone has the best performance and the best speakers, as well as a great and well-calibrated display. Apple‘s 3.5mm headphone jack adapter has been reviewed to be one of the highest quality available, especially at its price of 9 dollars.

I think these „gaming phones“ are a dead market. Android could really use making good and competitive normal phones again, instead of fooling around with gaming phones and foldables that sell around 5 units per month (obviously exaggerating).
