Kuba, 05 Jul 2022Exactly my thoughts. Samsung (and maybe Sony) is basically ... moreBro OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, INQQ all are belongs to same brand.

Kuba, 05 Jul 2022Exactly my thoughts. Samsung (and maybe Sony) is basically ... moreThat's rubbish - Oneplus has been rolling out updates on a frequent basis, more frequent than what Samsung did when I still had one. My OP7T is now 2.5 years old and with the now possible upgrade to And12 it will be fit for quite some more time.
Btw : what's worse - being a chinese manufacturer or being a Korean or US "manufacturer" building on chinese technology and manufacturing in China as well and hence hypocritically supporting China ?

RealLifePhones, 03 Jul 2022what a simple-minded opinion.. There are more and more peop... moreExactly my thoughts. Samsung (and maybe Sony) is basically the only reliable android brand. How can people buy chinese oppo vivo realme knowing bugs will never be fixed and software support will end after 6-12 months? There is also moral question - I choose stuff made in normal countries like Korea and Japan not a dictatorships.

                still stuck on Android 10

RobinArc, 01 Jul 2022"But nobody should use phones more than 3 years" ... moreYou must be staying in EU region. I guess. Where updates bring newer features. In South EAST Asian countries updates break everything. Its not just this year, since last three years, updates have broken everything on every smartphone brand except Moto.

Currently testing Moto Edge 2022 along with One Plus 10T and Xiaomi 12 Ultra which are not even released. Trust me when I say this, updates are pathetic. Almost on all phones. Since One Plus 7T Oxygen OS 10.3.4 update, everything went downhill for One Plus. What we get is Oppofication of One Plus. Let's see what One Plus brings to the table with the help of Oxygen OS 13. A52s/S20 FE 5G is struggling after One UI 4.1 update. Google Pixel 6 is yet to be fixed trash fingerprint scanner. Yet to get face unlock. One Plus didn't release One Plus 10 this year, yet struggling with Android updates. One Plus 9RT is yet to receive Android 12 update.

There are more and more people using their phones for 4-5 years without any problems especially flagships. Using a phone for longer is also much cheaper and much better for the environment. There was an article the other day of a hollywood celeb upgrading his iPhone 6S this year this just shows people want to use their phones for a long time and it's not even just financially. Every comment section here is filled with people praising Apples prolonged support so I doubt you have many supporters for your opinion.
I personally think Samsung charges fair prices for what they offer and at some point going cheaper doesn't make sense when looking at full life cycle cost of owning something.

I plan to use it at least another year from that. I am glad Android 12 is coming.

So someone should do away with their phones after 3 years even if it's serving them right, huh? How often does your spoilt arse discard your PC? Even if you did buy a new one after every three years regardless of condition, only thing it'd show is your wastefulness. Meh!
