Jelly Bean update is still to hit many countries. After waiting for a month since the JB was lauched by Samsung I lost my patience and then installed the French rom manually using ODIN. This update is great. It's super smooth and has many new features. I don't know about battery life coz my 3g/wi-fi is always on. And when I see the battery is low, I simply put it to charge. Anyone who hasn't received the update for JB via Kies and is desperate to get it can do it manually. Just Google for the procedure and download the stock ROM and ODIN. You will be happier than ever.

The official 4.1.2 update for France was good in many aspects. It runs smooth, looks better and I loved it. BUT, the battery life was horrible. If I would sleep without charging it full, it was highly likely that the phone would discharge completely and I will miss all my calls. Then, I installed the Slim ROM 4.2.1. It was amazingly rich in features, looked pretty and the battery life was awesome. It could go up to 2 days at one charge. But, this all goes good till I use it on Wi-fi. If I try to use web features on 3G, it starts overheating, youtube videos don't play at all, web page browsing fail intermittently and the battery goes off within an hour or two. Works fine on 2G though but, who wants that? In addition to this, the USB file transfer becomes terribly slow. So, I think I will go back to Official ICS 4.0.4 till the Official 4.1.2 update sees a battery drain fix.

the 6 months wait for JB update for S2 was so long that i bought the nexus 4. received 4.2.1 the same day I got the phone. Then 4.2.2 after 3 weeks. My S2 still running GB !!

I have updated my galaxy s 2 I9100 with the official jellybean from samsung last saturday. It arrives to my device on Friday.(XXLS8).Im from Maldives.
But wondering why no multiwindow. Others were there. Any info or help please.

Although its France release users from the rest of the world can still flash it as long can understd english .
Secondly if you want to have it through your OTA update or kies then u will have to wait a long time till it reach you country & network provider.Like me i nvr like waiting so ODIN is my solution just download the firmware from sammobil or xda and flash it .Its awesome .

I am from Mumbai, India. I have flashed the France version on my phone via ODIN. Everything is working superb on my phone except for the battery life. I think its even worst than ICS. I will wait for it to be released for India and flash that one and check. However, I dont think that will resolve this issue. Samsung will have to release an minor bug fix to resolve the same.

I have Updated to Stock Jeally Brean I9100GXXLSP France version..Every things are Superb except BATTERY LIFE.BATTERY DRAIN QUICKLY..my one every 15 min 1% decreased(WIFI disabled,Bluetooth disabled,3G disabled & DATA disabled /with Auto Brightness).
what about your phones?
