It requires the serial number of the device - I bought my Diamond from Expansys UK however I could not register it in HTC UK site. I could register it in HTC Hong Kong site. It shows that you may get the support from the relevant HTC local site, depending on the serial number of the device.

Could you try "Download ROM code" from the left menu after login if the above does not work?

All you have to do should be just click "▼" button in the CE-Star update and Diamond ROM update codes rows.

I hope it works with you and you get the updated ROM code.

HTC Hong Kong has released an updated ROM for Diamond (ROM version: 1.93.831.1 WWE / Radio Version : 52.29.25.12H_1.00.25.05) and updated CE-Star for registered users - I bought my Diamond from Expansys UK but I could register it only through HTC Hong Kong site. According to the release note, the new ROM enables GSM 850MHz. I have updated my Diamond - So far, GSM 850MHz capability is not tested as I live in UK. Touch FLO responses are much quicker than the previous ROM (ver 1.34).

To fix the phones sluggishness, turn off the touchflo. It runs faster and more responsive with the touchflo disabled, the only thing though is, you would lose the cool graphics.

Jonathan is RIGHT! Short wave frequencies have a MUCH higher penetrating power, but OTOH they ALSO have a much higher tendency toward "line-of-sight" meaning that they are easily blocked by mountains and numerous buildings. Longer wave frequencies, by contrast, are better at following geographic curves. They can still be blocked by mountains, but not near as readily. So, for those of you who swear that there is better coverage with 850, you may be right--but ONLY as a function of distance from the tower, not penetration of buildings.

Ok, so it seems 2 b that there's a lack of knowledge concerning physics among the gsmarena readers. SHORT WAVES PENETRATE MORE THAN LONG WAVES! Now wavelenght is inversely proportional to frequency. Therefore, we may conclude, higher frequency means shorter wavelength, which means that higher frequencies such as 1900 r way more penetrating than 850 mhz. Now, some may want to argue with me. But if you check the electromagnetic spectrum, you'll see that the most penetrating waves, the most energetic waves are gamma rays, which, by pure coincidence happen to be the shortest in the spectrum, and they have the highest energy in the spectrum. Next time review your physics before writing incorrect info. And please, i'm not a nerd, i just don't like when ppl keep talking as if they know while they r so ignorant, be honest with yourself! God bless, peace out.
