Hills od, 22 Sep 2022I have used both OS's and guess what ?Sorry to interrupt your conversation- there's many reasons I couldn't use an iPhone.
1. Expensive. Even used, a flagship from a few years ago is still like 800$ CAD.
2. No headphone jack.
3. No expandable storage. ^ I have a large library of lossless audio that takes up close to 200GB.
4. No manual camera mode. I use that mode almost exclusively to get nice pictures and I don't wanna use a point and shoot camera.
5. External accessories hard to use, lightning port doesn't provide enough power, and it's proprietary, where all my other devices use USB-C.

You should have to charge the battery at least twice a day, minimum. Oh and you should also have to use a bad port for everything, because righteousness moral values state that you should only buy a phone from a company that was courageous enough to remove the headphone jack.

I like it, as long as it's an optional feature that can be turned off. The best thing about android is having options.

yeah, pretty sure that android phones are gonna suck at it, they don't have the smooth transitions that apple does, and they probably will burn a lot of battery in the process! android is just not that good optimized.

It goes both ways, who tf care?
What I care about is when manufacturers actually ask the community if they want something and implement it if they do want it. So, good on Xiaomi for doing just that.
Plus that's basically one of the only strengths of iOS at this point, the UI design.
So yeah, I'm very happy that there is at least one manufacturer that gives me the option to both have the freedom and many features of Android AND the nice looking UI of iOS (because let's face it, stock Android design feels flat af, almost as if it was meant to be a basic outline that needed to be customized).

Also, apple is amazing at making any feature looks cool, and sometimes taking an inconvenient way to solve problem, making what supposed to be notches into something interesting and fun. But you apple fanboys love to gatekeep everything eh, but props to you because if anyone wants to have dynamic island, they can and they would do it. This is a great feature for UIUX and here's someone who pays a large amount of cash for a brand and praytell their words of discouragements would scare the other brand away. Good luck on that, and I can't wait to see how other brand would improve the already amazing dynamic island.
