If you cannot connect to anything then it is no more than a computer without any connectivity abilities. This is a CELL PHONE 1st and foremost. A communications device. After that is accomplished properly, then you can fix overheating and battery life second and third (not necessarily in that order).

S22U has telephoto, but prime lens. Just like 6 pro,, x80 pro , Mate 50 pro ..
The at least 80mm is what photography world considers telephoto.

Plus, Google is known for it's amazing software making hardware less important to them then other companies. The new processor will make use of that sensor better than other models imo

Appreciate this update. No mention of the specs of the (rumored) new Samsung modem?
I'm a GOOG dev who's had three Pixel 6 Pros that I've used with XFinity Mobile and TMO SIMS, and Google Fi e-SIM in US and overseas.
Each has had serious issues with cellular connections (LTE and non-mmw 5G), WiFi>cellular handoff and release, and cellular signal strength. The first two handsets were unusable in most mid-low signal areas (Signal Spy -99 to -121 dB). The third is slightly better on Android 13 but still much less performance than my older iPhone 7 comparison phone.
Please, GSMArena, make it a point to thoroughly test the new P7 phones' modem performance, especially in fringe areas with low signal strength, and their WiFi>cellular>WiFi handoff capabilities.
At the end of the day, if a handset can't make/receive calls or connect to the network, it's fancy displays, feeds and speeds are useless.

All of these comments about it being almost the same are missing the point. Using similar parts (or the same parts) gives them the flexibility to offer deep price cuts in the future. This probably won't be the best value on launch, but if you compare the Pixel 6 / 6 Pro prices now vs launch they're quite good. Also, I think the Pixel 7 could be good for the people who wanted a smaller Pixel 6 such as myself. You are under no obligation to upgrade your phone every year. If it's a minor upgrade, stick with what you have.
