Nokia didn't have choice in this, Microsoft announced that no phone running WP7 will be updated to 8. I feel sorry for Nokia and they do produce by far the best phones i upgraded from 800 to 920.

Please let this wp8 upgrade be over the air upgrade like is done in apple ios operating system. So many people have destroyed there phone trying to manually upgrade it using computer. And we hope is going to be global and not a situation where america gets upgrade and it takes another 6months for uk to get and another 1year for brazil to get. Windows and android need to learn from apple operating system in this very over the air upgrade.

There is not much limit for current WP8. It can be upgradeable up to WP9, WP10, etc..Just like your computer can upgrade from XP to Windows 7 and Windows 8. WP8 has a powerful and flexible Windows NT kernel. Not like WP7 is based on the very old Windows CE kernel from Windows CE, Pocket PC, and Windows Mobile.

Since buying my omnia 2 WP6.5, I do not want to hear about a windows phone, I was so happy to get my omnia 2 and then WP 7 came out with no upgrade for WP6.5... Be careful when you buy a WP, you are sure not to get the upgrade... just marketing and business......

How long after the update will the WP8 users need to wait before upgrading? 6 months to a year? Oh wait, this isn't Android.
