Gaming, watching movies? On a 4.7" display, not in 1 million years. Also, the battery is below average. The minute you start using it, you will charge it 2 times per day. If not 3 times.
So yeah, Apple put a powerful chipset in a phone. But, the phone is useless in every other way.
That is why I said they are both equally bad. One is useless because it has poor performance, the other is useless because it has only performance. None deserve 400EUR price, that's for sure.

The headphone jack was a feature the A series had that Apple didn't use, but now more and more features missing would just make people more likely to buy an SE 3. I mean with an A52s, the CPU in that was only around 33% slower compared to the A15 AND it had a headphone jack. Compare that to nearly 50% slower on an A53. As for graphics, the SE 3 just completely obliterates both phones combined. Samsung wonders why the A53 has lower sales than the A52s (if it is, then gee, I wonder why).

We... moreWell, to be fair to that comparison, people usually compare similar priced phones. A53 and iPhone SE3 were similar priced (at least when launched, now A53 is cheaper).
Also, I doubt that comparison was done strictly in chipset category. Probably they wanted to demonstrate what can you get for 400EUR on Android side and what can you get for 400EUR on IOS side.
Anyway, both phones are average. No matter how you look at it. And do not deserve those price tags. Maybe maximum 300EUR. Technically the A53 is close to that price nowadays, but still, there are far better 300-350EUR phones out there.

Brent jared allison, 09 Nov 2022Even weaker then the regualr a52 n a52 5g modelsWell no. GPU performance is roughly 30% better on the A53 than on the A52 although it's a Mali GPU instead of Adreno so gaming may vary. Although, the A52s' GPU is around 27% faster than the A53, plus, it's an Adreno.

Every year the A5X is worse than year before but cost 100 more than year before so we can expect 550 eur price for a maybe 300 eur worth device.

Since they won't use Exynos anymore on their S23 series, I'm afraid they gonna use the Exynos 2300 on A74 or this phone. The chances are not zero though.

Well..thats exactly the selling point of A series. Samsung never ever marketed the A series as a fast phone. I even saw stupid comparison in app opening speed between A53 and iPhone SE 3, i mean seriously? Midrange exynos vs Apple bionic??

I mean for example, if a company is randomly deciding to run Android 13 with Snapdragon 845 that launched in 2017, I bet it will just run fine..

My A52's back cover started to peel off after only 1.5 years because of the poor quality glue and quality check by Samsung.
