1 Samsung . . . . 220M - 235M units about 32% market share
2 Apple . . . . . . . 140M - 150M units about 20% market share
3 Huawei . . . . . . . 55M - 60M units about 8% market share
Race for 4th is between Sony, ZTE, Nokia and RIM (about 5% each)
Others in Top 10 for the year are HTC, LG and Lenovo (about 4% each)
Motorola has fallen out of the top 10 in global smartphone makers for hte full year

And at the end of the day, you could make the best phone in the world and you would still loose on stats because of dumb Apple and Samsung fanboi. These stats mean NOTHING when evaluating how good a particular phone is. You CAN'T say a phone is good or crap based on sell-through stats of other products of a past quarter. Stellar sell-through could always be a crap product with brilliant marketing. Just look at APPLE...

LG only sold 10million according to what they post on news last couple month ago if you remember. At 4th quarter according to gsmarena sony is in forth with slight difference from the third chinese brand. Samsung and apple on top, nokia then lg then htc.
