And the display was amazing with 120mHz refresh rate on the Ultra (only on the ultra). I thought it was just a hype until I actually used one.
But I still am very disappointed with Samsung for ditching the SD card slot, the 3.5mm jack, reduced base memory, reduced RAM memory, downgraded display on the Plus and regular version, no charger in the box, no wired headphones in the box.
Let's hope that the European Union will force big brands to bring back the SD card slot on high-end flagships. I'm not interested at all in mid-range wannabes.
My only option from Samsung is the Note 20 Ultra or jumping boats to Sony for newer flagships.
No SD card slot = NO BUY!

I guess for base model S23 they'll still offer an internal memory of 128GB and 256GB.
In 2019 S10 had options of 128GB and 512GB. Even in 2018 with S9 there was an option between 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, that's 5 years ago.
Let's see if they'll finally bring (back) 512GB for base model.

As an owner of S21+, I have zero incentive to upgrade to S23 series. I was really looking to get into the S23 bandwagon, but it's not going to happen. Literrally zero effort on behalf of Samsung. My biggest problem with S21+ is the battery. It doesn't make it through the day.
I was really hoping for the battery to be boosted to 5500mah or more, but... it remains worse than my S21+ (4800mah rated). I wish they would give up on this stupid trend of super slim phones in expense of usability and get 6-7000mah batteries.

Iterative design make for better devices. S23U will be a big improvement with the new chipset & UFS 4.0 over the S22U despite the complaints about the exterior.
I do wish there were bolder colors, though.

I"ll wait for the S25 model. Nowadays companies upgrade significantly 5 years later. Proof of this is the perfect similarity of S20 to the S21 and S22 and S23.

If it looks like this then it seems like Samsung is running out of designs, same camera setup since S21 series. So called "Flagship" smartphones are getting uglier by the day talk about the newest OnePlus 11 🤮
