Anonymous, 12 Jan 2023Removable battery?LMAO just get yourself a old nokia from t... moreEU law would force them. A little thing called planned obsolescence that big companies do is kind of illegal over here. Removable batt (or easy to remove battery more generally) is basic consumer rights, you don't have to make fun of the dude demanding it. Sealing a consumable component is definitely anti consumer practice only meant to harm the little guy. Good of the EU for persecuting such behaviors.

Show of hands: who is as exciting as me for an optimized S22?
Oh boy , can't wait to see the S22 ... for 4th year in a row basically ... slightly optimized.
Goddamn, the phone industry is in life support. We need an external player and fast, those established companies have just ... stopped. They would release the same phone for 2 decades straight if you let them, all the while material technology and electronics are evolving by leaps and bounds. Those established companies just pressed the snooze button. Yawn.

What's with this mangling of the English Language ?
First there's Pre-order, now Pre-reserve ?
How can you "pre" reserve anything ?
You either reserve or you don't.

The article is wrong. It's a $50 DISCOUNT when you put your email in, not a reservation that costs 50 bucks.
However, the discount is not towards the phone itself:
"The credit cannot be applied to the pre-ordered device(s) and must be used at the time of pre-order purchase towards purchasing additional eligible products"
So you can use it on accessories and get a "free" charger
