Hugo, 15 Jan 2023Youtube is shit. It seems to promote right wing propaganda ... moreLike every hypocrite says.

Here in the Philippines, ABS-CBN has been utilizing this for 2 years already after the Shutdown of their Free-To-Air Operations by launching Kapamilya Online Live on their YouTube Channel on August 1, 2020. A Livestream that acts like a TV Channel that simulcasts TV Shows and News Programs from its Pay TV Channels: Kapamilya Channel (The Replacement of ABS-CBN Channel 2) and Jeepney TV. A year after, it started operating 24/7 by adding more classic TV Shows and even Movies from their Film Production Outfit (Star Cinema). I think they would benefit a lot from this if it happens or if it will become available in our country.

Lets hope this doesn't happen but most likely will. They'll just end up adding more ads or charging a monthly subscriptions for normal TV channels

I had YouTube TV when it was $30, and I cancelled it right away when they raised the price double! Nobody wants to watch the stupid TV channels any more! Soon, they will be paying people to watch their TV crap!

giulioseverini, 15 Jan 2023Youtube, like any other service, is what you look for. For ... moreMaybe you didn't understand. I said i tested, which means i did multiple tests from zero history and watched only specific videos like cartoons or music or sports. It eventually leads one to different types of right wing propaganda material.

Point is i was smart enough and like you i dont watch this stuff. But not everyone is as smart. Rather people who watch this shit material consider themselves to be more smart and more well informed. Reality is that this type of content is highly addictive for some and generates a lot of money for youtube.

Should be better for YouTube TV tbh.

The TV as a trend has long died. If you're not on YouTube Live in 2023 (as a TV station), you don't exist. I think only people above 40-50 are still using it on a regular basis. I haven't plugged in my TV since 2018.
PS If you have one of those bundles that give you internet, cable TV and phone line altogether, call your provider and tell them to cancel everything except for the internet. They will offer a HUGE discount on everything just to keep you as a client. I used to pay about 50 euro for everything. Now I pay 5. HBOs included (not that I care). But I still use only the internet.
                          Peace! 🖖👽
