Profits shrunk to about 14 billion so they need to layoff to prepare for a recession?! Not only is this greedy, but all these companies laying people off to prepare for a recession could very well be a catalyst for the recession. Screw these companies, we're better off without all this unnecessary tech. I'm so fed up with our greedy capitalist system which seeks to benefit the already wealthy.

Why? Because they a top of the crop companies and only hire best :) To get Job in these companies you need to have very specific skills and be ahead of competition :) Those who gets fired they are on the lower level, manufacturing probably or juniors but they for sure will not have much trouble getting jobs somewhere else :)
