SK hynix unveils LPDDR5T RAM, 13% faster than LPDDR5X

25 January 2023
The "T" stands for "Turbo". This isn't a new generation of DRAM but rather an improvement over the current 5X standard.

So they might be having 8x 2GB chips per package, thus making it 77GB.

Lol, no one even notice some insane maths here. 9.6gbps suddenly turns to 77GB per second :D that's some Turbo RAM for sure :) from 1.2GB per second to 77GB :D

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2023turbo ... the exhaust gas that still has oxygen are injecte... moreI don't know from where you got the definition of turbo charging, but I would advise you stop referring it right now. It makes you look like an idiot if you post using that wrong knowledge.
During the time that turbo is useful or can be used, there won't be abundance of oxygen in the exhaust, as the engine would be operating near max and fuel proportion is higher. So injecting back to combustion chamber will reduce performance. You are confusing turbo charging which uses power from exhaust gas to compress the air intake and EGR which uses exhaust gas to reduce emissions, when high performance is not needed.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2023turbo ... the exhaust gas that still has oxygen are injecte... moreTurbo is a common terminology used for a temporary boost or a fixed minor performance boost compared to normal operation without much change or increase in complexity in core through something like addons.
What you are describing is one such instance in a completely different domain and cannot be taken literally. Here the turbo/super charger is used to improve the performance output of an otherwise same engine.
I don't know if you had asked the same question to Intel.

4th gen 10nm, so it's 6nm equivalent? since it's 10>8>7>6. The HKMG is kinda like EUV in a way that it's used before this one? Like N7+ to N6 from TSMC?

turbo ... the exhaust gas that still has oxygen are injected back to the air intake after pass through the inter-cooler to fill the combustion chamber with abundance air for sudden acceleration ... in contrast with super-charge that uses fresh air intake instead of exhaust gas

                ???

where in the electronic that mimicking thar process ??? marketing nonsense term ...

to make ram/rom as fast as cache will throttle the cache to even faster

Kedar284, 25 Jan 2023Why not make RAM also on leading nodes, or even better inte... moreEsentially everything starting from catch-memory to NVMe is a RAM, the the damn 64bit processor is capable/compitable up to a Hexabyte so eventually its just marketing if they made a 128bit it could do Hexabyte * Hexabyte, a Qbit eventually does 300bits.

Why not make RAM also on leading nodes, or even better integrate along with SOC for even more efficiency and speed
