But it is more me... moreWhy, because you say so? iOS (just like Android) is as simple or as complicated as a user wants it to be. An example would be the droves of non tech types who get along just fine not using 80% of functionally that has crept in over the past few versions.

The difference between the two is that you simply do not like iOS. Which is fine, you do you after all, but don’t go telling other people what they can or cannot deny.

This is good. I don't like the idea of rapidly changing things for no reason, I'd rather have stability and longevity.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2023If you prefer a messy desktop with all icons go for iOS.I did, some time ago and guess what I’ve not been any more or less bored than when I used Android. Though, that’s likely due to my choosing other sources of excitement over how may icons are on my desktop.

For iOS 17, they really should focus on stability and hopefully Xiaomi will copy their decision and start focus on stability too.

I hope Apple doesn't add any more features, each year iOS becomes more busy. I like a simple, easy to use OS to do my job, not to waste time trying to figure out how to do something.

When iOS16 was released, people on devices that is supported can opt to install patch to 15.7 instead. Old Apple would force people to upgrade. This shows their (lack of) confidence on iOS16. To avoid backlash due to tons of bugs, they just didn't force people to upgrade.

I really hope that the IPhone Pro models will change the way, how they operate with external monitors in light of the revamped USB-C connection! I.e. not having the stupid black bars over / under the app windows being displayed on the external monitor in case of using file apps, office apps and all other things beside videos and pictures. Since Apple is too stubborn to offer any desktop mode on/with IPhones Pro Max being equipped with big screens at least the accurate presentation of apps and homescreens on external monitors could be a first starter into the right direction for more productivity.
