Hmmm

Just another attempt at foisting last years TV (QN43QN90B) minus its most expensive electronics at a decidedly premium price while subjecting users to what will likely be forced advertising in order to use all its "features". What is that old saying? "If it looks like a TV, walks like TV....

For the record: the QN90B, like the QN90A before it have abysmal performance in actual monitor tasks. You know, it fails miserably attempting to display clear easily readable text in native 4K with (no 150%+ zoom doesn't count because it effectively nullifies the primary purpose of buying a 43" monitor in the first place.) Both also fail miserably at preventing blurry and washed out images no matter what the setting. There is a reason that as of 26 Feb 2023 you can still buy the 43" 90A on Samsung's website and the 90B is routinely on sale for under $900.

The list of typically offered monitor features in terms of connectivity such as KVM switches etc. at this price point are also missing. In other words this is nothing more another glorified and decidely overpriced "gaming" TV pretending to be a monitor

Given that the the 90A, 90B and 90C are all basically the same panel, and none of them can actually display clear text because of their BGR sub-pixel layout and offer no additional connectivity there is no compelling reason not to just buy a tv in the first place. (HDMI 2.1 actually offers significantly more bandwidth than the 1.4 so you are losing 2 HDMI 2.1 ports in exchange for one old DP 1.4 port. (DP 2.0 is officially available right now)

mois, 29 Jan 2023How the heck your eyes read 60hz? It is 144hz. Of course this one this article is about is 144 Hz (clearly says in the text), but someone claimed 60 Hz would be fit for gaming too - which just isn't good enough for gaming. Generally talking about 60 Hz.

Peter-B, 26 Jan 2023Here are the specs, no USB-C indeed: https://displaysolu... moreOnly 144Hz but maybe could be enouhg I have 165Hz on mine 2k laptop but it is very small only 16'' But I have checked the images back of the monitor and no usb-c dp whatsoever

Don't vorry I already contacted samsung and pushed them in to corner that they couldn't find TV or monitor which has usb-c dp at least 1.4 or thundebolt with either 165Hz or 240Hz which mine laptop can support via tb4 even I went to LG site same results.. I have sent emails to RnD to really push things forward becsue this is unacceptale..
The crappy dongles or cable converters are out of question .. They are wrong crap not working properly not supporting VRR or g-sync some has onl YCbCr support ..dynamic range only limited not full .. Screen goes black for seconds.. It's total mess..
TV and moniotro manuf supposed to long time ago support usb--c dp 1.4 at minimum
Even grphics cards for PC supposed to have usb-c dp long time ago.. They only made nvidia 20 series cards kind off useles becsue they didn't support hdmi 2.1 so not full RGB color on TVs And yet 2023 not going tob be any different which is total nonsense..
I have samsung tv 2020 year and will not buy any sht till this problem will be solved !

I'm also looking for a 4K 144Hz monitor but its not how I'll use it.
I wanted 144Hz in full HD for my online games, and 4K resolution (in 60Hz is ok) in general for video viewing and multi window and other needs, that's about it. I know one choice is to get 2 monitors separately and it might prove cheaper but I'd love one device to do it all.

Recently, one LG 27GN950 with 4K 144Hz is known to be doing ok in a 160Hz overclock, that should be good, but its just HDMI 2.0, this will affect resale potential as many gamers are on consoles.
So, I might consider Samsung's series, although I don't like it being a smart device.

How will this even work? You will have to sit too far away to see the whole screen. Not ideal for gaming.

I would buy this if it's smaller. Miniled panel as monitor is better for pc use as there's no risk of burn in. I just saw someone that already have burn in issue in their oled monitor within 1 year of use because they don't hide Windows taskbar.
