It's a wonder anyone still uses this site

The first moment facebook rises its prices from using facebook from zero to let say 1 eur a month half of the people i mean users will withdrawn from facebook.

one year, Twitter will not exist

Viber, Whatsapp were paid. I think BBM was also a paid service during its run. It all changed when FB started selling everyone's data and making money off from it, on top of the ads inside the app.

Nowadays, Twitter (along with Telegram) is the only one that more or less has stayed the same, while the others went to utter shit. FB/IG/Whatsapp are terrible apps. I'm forced to use Whatsapp bc people cant be bothered to learn to use anything else. But I think I will start to move away slowly from it, not like I write to a lot of people nowadays

I don't be surprised if the paid version comes in tiers and are not only expensive, but also lacks of the info the free API had.
So yeah, Musk wants to make Twitter a paid only option.
