toskovip55, 07 Feb 2023dimensity 8100 hase above 810000 scores not 720000early numbers is not something to go by as fact as we see plenty times the same with snapdragon until the phones finally release showing differing results, also the numbers don't always mean much, depends on UI/OS and such too, i wouldn't sweat any of this crap especially when in the end the majority of what we do on our phones we barely ever tap into that power, i swear people buy too much into numbers/marketing smh

As we move uo in price bracket,Dimensity chips are seen in far less phones compared to Snapdragons.
So if Mediatek truly wants to dominate Mobile SoC fight then they should compete with SD on all fronts with equally good/better chips.

No need to make a n... moreBut look at how many phones came with D1100/1200/8100 while 778+ ie default choice for mid rangers for over 1 year.
Mediatek has Flagship D9000 series,Upper midrange D8000 series & these can compete with SD 8xx.but below these Mediatek only has D800 series & these are not that good also G-series is going to be obsolete soon.
So Mediatek need to release Quality SoCs that can directly rival SD 7,6,4 series.

over 800 AnTuTu score, this is why you better buy this than the 2019 or 2020 flagship. Dimensity 8000 series is mid range no flagship..

The benchmark is already posted on Amazon app in India. Antutu score for Dimensity 8200 is 893,690.

These impressive scores indicate that D8200 is really a flagship worthy chip.
D8100 was performing close to SD888 level & this 8200 is somewhere between 888 & 8+G1.
But flagship hardware comes with flagship price as well.that might be one of biggest reasons that despite the impressive performance D8100 was not seen in that many phones & D8200 seems no different in this regards.
So wishing Mediatek to make D7000 series chip with performance on par with SD778+.
It'll be enough powerful for midrangers & with competent pricing it canbe used in more phones.

If only we got a compact phone with a Dimensity!!
All hopes on Asus now, I hope they release a D1300/8100/8200 powered Zenfone Lite just like I hoped last year!
Or maybe Xiaomi puts one in the successor of the 12X!
