I don't think that the latest number is published. Yes, PC gaming has more than Steam users, and console gaming has more than Nintendo Switch users. The 3DS, for example, sold over 75 million units. When the warranty is out, it depends if the tablet(/product) is worth the cost of repair.
Is the repair going to cost more than buying the same device second hand, or even new?
A $200 repair for a used tablet with a market price of $200 or less, is fairly pointless.
Maybe a third party can repair it.

Nintendo doesn't report monthly active user, as far as I can see, but they do have an annual 102 million active users.
PC has more than steam gamers as well.
PC and console are have a small amount of daily active users though, compared to mobile/smartphone gaming.
Mobile gaming is no.1 in active users and and revenue, despite offering sub par gaming experiences. Availability is key.

I'd have to admit, I believed all the propaganda (aka Marketing hype) Microsoft and how they made it look like Phil Spencer is the Jesus of video games. So much so I even bought a Xbox Series X.
But alas, it's blatantly obvious they can't even handle their first party devs for jack. Major delays, and overpromising first party games that is either delayed or a buggy mess...
I honestly don't think it will be majorly different once they helm Activision.

RTX 3060 was like 1000 euro on some point
And i wont talk about xx50 series that is just waste of money if your gaming oriented.
3060 is basically 2070
My PC still running on GTX970 that is probably around same as 2050 as it was same as 1060 while maybe 1060 was a bit better

Also, PCs used in companies and schools aren't for gaming. Steam monthly active users represent most PC gamers, so it should be used in comparison. Nintendo doesn't disclose the number of Switch monthly active users, so I used the Switch user base. Anyway, you seem to vastly overestimate the gaming user base. It's not as large as you seem to think. I don't think that the combined gaming user base (PC and consoles) is over 200 million.

Again you are doing irrelevant comparisons here by comparing steam monthly active users with total switch Nintendo ever sold.
If Nintendo sold 122M switch till date then how many PCs/Laptops are out there on planet?
And steam is not a single marketplace to buy and play games this is the reason why finding out average PC hardware performance is far more complex and impossible to make conclusions.
And there are more than 1.4 billion windows 10 +11 devices out there excluding windows 7,8,vista and XP (run by different government and organizations) and adding Linux (on which 90% of internet runs on), Mac and BSD will only increase that number.

Maybe start thinking your own head instead of wishing MS will keep their promise of not making exclusives. Sure maybe it will still be available to PC and PS5 buuutt... it will run like crap so you had to buy Xbox or use Windows 12 in order to play diablo 2... I mean people
