Apple has been the most pain in the ass company to deal with regarding MDM of several thousand phones. We used iPhones in our company and we switched to Samsung 3 years ago and it has a walk in the park since then. Due to NDA´s I cant get into any details but especially if you require specialized Apps it´s been a nightmare to get them out due to Apple´s restrictions. So if you want an honest opinion regarding Apple I share Linus Torvalds statement regarding Nvidia but replaced Nvidia with Apple. Right now I test the ThinkPhone if it is suitable for our needs but no, Apple aint the reference in MDM at all.

I have my thinkphone now almost 2 weeks and I have to say I´m impressed. Great battery life. If I get up at 6 I can be sure my battery lasts me till the next day late evening. Camera isn´t on par witha Galaxy S23 Ultra but it still is a good one and for the occasional shots its absolutely ok. There was a update to get it on the february security level right from the beginning so let´s see if Motorola can keep the promise to update the security level each month. Overall it´s a great device. It may not push the envelope because of the SD 8+ Gen 1 but to be hones, who cares? The difference in day to day usage for the normal use is non noticeable.

I think everyone here is missing the point. This is a business-grade device with 4-year security updates commitment and will very likely come with discounts based on its target audience(s) through volume purchases. This phone is android enterprise ready and will be accompanied by modern device management features that cater to enterprise environments.
Most people don't realize this, but Apple is the defacto choice in enterprise environments; this attempt will hopefully sway enterprises into considering a heterogeneous mobile workforce environment.

Motorola has commenced a very aggresive discounting strategy to increase the sales graph on old models .
In India it still needs to work on brand value which it can easily revive by opening up exclusive moto outlets , the device is good but lacks the trust due to the falling price of old models .

Regret is a type of thought. At 1000 usd that ought to be the right thought for the ThinkPhone, 40% lower price would be more suitable for the HW :P
