R4TM4NN, 04 Apr 2023Local shop owners literally scam people with that marketing... morethats something like what oppo or other bbk brands salesman do.
they advertise their oppo a57 which is an overpriced budget phone, they claimed that its faster than snapdragon 888 with ram expansion??? it can expand ram but it would screw up the storage chip slowly. virtual ram or ram plus or whatever that is should not exist and never be on a smartphone.

I bought a Yu Yutopia and it was surprisingly good, it still is imo, apart from one issue that is specific to that phone. It has a faulty cache which makes the phone unable to know how long the battery will last, thus it was always randomly turning off, mostly around 50%, sometimes around 20%, but that isn't the SD 810's fault.

However I gotta say I find BBK's optimization the best, particularly vivo's, Xiaomi's is good too. When it comes to the Poco C40, it was JLQ that didn't optimize.

I thought that chipset was decent with its promising specs given that it has a decent GPU and Cortex-A55 cores. In fact, I thought it was a rebranded Unisoc SC9863A1 but phones that use it don't even lag that much surprisingly, especially the Nokia C31 and Moto E7i. And as much as I know, the SD810 is supposed to be way worse because of how outdated it is and the fact that it was a faulty chipset from a familiar brand.

I have a feeling that Xiaomi, BBK etc don't even optimize their phones well to run with otherwise a promising chipset.

I think Nokias that use Unisocs are a safer bet if these Chinese phones which promise so much in terms of numbers end up performing poorly in real life

Minu, 05 Apr 2023I'm tired of seeing rehashed generic ODM plastic slabs... moreJLQ is a fairly new chipset maker, that seem to have disappeared already. Hopefully. The Poco C40 is "powered" by the JLQ JR150, which is just absolutely terrible. The Snapdragon 810 you mentioned is still tip-top flagship level compared to it.

            Btw what's a JLQ?

you have to suffer, 04 Apr 2023this makes realme c30 were a good deal. i couldnt believe ... moreI mean yeah, this and the Poco C50 both seem like a downgrade compared to the Poco C40, especially because of that micro usb port. However just the sheer fact that this phone and the Poco C50 both have a Mediatek chipset (albeit not a very good one), instead of the absolutely horrendous JLQ chipset in the C40, someone brought that to store I work at, and I had to restart it, which took 3 minutes. THREE MINUTES, just to turn it back on it, and another minute before the phone became barely "usable".

this makes realme c30 were a good deal.
i couldnt believe when c50 were a downgrade compared to c40. "new"?? more like rebranded!!

rizki1, 04 Apr 2023we know that, this is only for ordinary people. Anybody can get a better phone for this price no matter their age or use case, this is nothing but a cash grab and a clear out of Xiaomi's leftover micro usb ports, because starting from 2024 they won't be allowed to use them anymore.

DarlingYext, 04 Apr 2023This isn't interesting, this is just straight up a scam.we know that, this is only for ordinary people.

These slabs make Nokia's Unisoc-powered phones with UFS look and feel much better. Never expected Poco would cheapen their own element, just like Realme
