04 April 2023
Looks like a promising alternative to the Steam Deck but we still have lots of questions.

Therefore it would have been nice with a real official android version as well as the windows is has. So it can be used to game pc games and android games, instead of using our phone/tablet for such. Instead of struggle with making your own dual boot with emulated android that doesn't get official updates over time, then it would already have the same android version as rog phone. And windows installed as it will be released with. We have already seen units with a "gaming" switch. So this could have been with an android/windows switch instead. So this could be a true handheld gaming console, and our phone/tablet could be our phone/tablet.

Much like how desktop users, in reverse, do not view laptops as similar to desktops.

And desktop/laptop users not recognizing the likes of the Deck, Aya Neos, Allys as just a portable version of a desktop/laptop.

Just look at the egpu support on Aya (official) or Deck (unofficial hardware mod) which allows them to function on par with laptops and desktops.

Not a laptop/desktop that needs to be tweaked with emulated stuff. And unstable android that needs to be manually updated.

Why make something simple, more complicated? Oh, because you are stubborn. Gotcha.

Just as if you unlock a phone within 2 years in America. That's why eu stopped locking phones, ages ago. But I guess you haven't even been reading the warranty agreement. Maybe start with the Asus warranty, so you will know better.

Not the original... moreVisit the site 'android-x86.org' and read about the port of Android to the x86 architecture which has been ongoing for more than a decade. It's not emulated or an emulator, it is being ported to run directly on most x86 tablets, laptops and PC's, and even some phones too. I have used in on various occasions a number of years ago on some of my (then owned) hardware...

Not the original... moreYou are just embarasing yourself, Android x86 is a thing since 2009, Even Google themselves supporting it, there use to be lot of X86 phones and Tablets like those who use Intel Atom series. Emulators are apps running on windows or Linux to run Android apps, like Bluestack, nox etc. Android X86 and its Custom rom isnt Emulation its separate Os which run on X86 hardwarw Natively.
