Since it's a tablet it's easy to switch between vertical and horizontal depending on what you want to work on unlike a plain square like an ipad that makes no difference either way.

In landscape mode, when using split-screen, you will need two halves that are wide enough. In case of iPad, each half just feels too tall.
Vertically, a 3:4 aspect ratio is not tall enough. And in case of iPads, vertically no useful multi-tasking exists anyway (you can’t run two apps on top of each other - unbelievable and no one points this out). If iPads offered it, you would appreciate an aspect ratio such as that of tab S8 Ultra.
On my tab S8 Ultra, vertically, I use 1/3 for instance for YouTube (upper part) and 2/3 for surfing (lower part). This applies also to smaller Samsung tablets.
People often ask for split-screen on iPhones, but as long as the dumb iOS is not able to run two apps on top of each other, there won’t be any split-screen on iPhones.

Why is no one challenging Apple on the 4:3 display ratio? It is the only reason to still hang on to the iPad. Who wants to hold these Android tablets in vertical mode?

Cooling on these tablets should also be improved, at least with a large vapour chamber plate so that it doesn't throttle too much like the Tab S8 series.
