PCs are for people who are actually productive on them. If you use laptop to browse internet, memes and play video games then I guess laptop is good enough for you

Of course they are. People are comparing their 800$ builds from 2019 to today's 1500$ builds who are exactly the same. No reason to upgrade when the prices are so high
