Come on, nVidia. Lower 4090's price. I want to get rid of my Radeon so badly, but you're making me wait a long time, huh? I'd rather not spend 2k euros on a GPU. I know as long as AMD has nothing that can really compete with it, they have very little reason to cut the price. :( Shame, would be cool to have a more balanced rivalry in the highest-end GPU models.

The vega graphics on AMD's 4000 and 5000 series give better performance than GT 1030. GTX 1650/ RX 6400/Arc A380 is unfortunately the starting point for dedicated GPUs. Man I wish they release more budget GPUs.

Knowing the prices in Europe will go as high as 700 euros. Hell, the rtx 4070 ti was priced at the lowest 700 usd and in Portugal there is none lower than 900 euros, anywhere.
A friend of mine went with the XFX Radeon 7900 XT Speedster MERC 310 for 750 euros.
It's faster than the RTX 4070 TI.

A decade ago i would defend nvidia in every regard, i was a hardcore nvidia fanboy.
Now, if i had to choose between intel, amd and nvidia, i'd choose amd

Septone, 13 Apr 2023The VRAM capacity is just not enough. Modern video games no... morefor today's standards, yes. The card was released in 2017, that's why I asked why they didn't continue the new one instead of the overpriced RTX always.

I am full of this MSRP marketing strategy. Beside the fact that all GPU's today are highly overpriced from the start, at the retailers you'll see the product with at least 200 Euros above the MSRP. And AMD, instead of taking advantage of this Nvidia indifference towards the consumers, they align themselves to the overpriced strategy, when they could have won a lot of market share with much reduced pricing. Both producers current GPU's are best to be skipped if possible. There is Intel in the game now, but they are still beginners here and have some ground to make up, although something tells me that as they will close the gap, their pricing will also go up there.

Definitely skipping this generation of overpriced crap.
I hope Nvidia and AMD come to their senses otherwise RIP PC gaming by their own hands.

GAMIR3DH, 13 Apr 2023I would rather buy a used laptop for that price lolOr just get one of alibaba. You would be surprised of the prices of graphics card that were previously used for mining. I would be careful tho, only a few distributors are trustworthy. I can get a 3060 rn for dirt cheap, is just that I don't have need to get one rn.

Because rtx 4070 only having 12gb of vram i am going to wait for Amd rx 7800(xt) models which will offer better price to performance ratio and more vram(at least 16gb).

I was shocked that this 4070 is actually slower than 3080(10gb vram) at 4k!

rizki1, 13 Apr 2023Horrible how?The VRAM capacity is just not enough. Modern video games nowadays will use around 10-12 VRAM and will continue to use more in the future even at 1080p (I doubt this card will last two generations for future games unless you don't even play modern ones). This card which offers 12GB VRAM will become obsolete thus making the card the worst card as an investment for the long run.

We just hope AMD's equivalent will offer competitive performance with at least 16GB VRAM and competitive pricing, of course.

novapitch, 13 Apr 2023Very good? Lol it's absolute horrible Horrible how?
