LG innotek builds the camera modules. Sensors + lenses + OIS are delivered at LG Innotek, the put it together and send back to OEMs.
Nobody is using because having 2 cameras is cheaper solution.

My 11ultra from 2 years ago had 1/2.0" sensors for telephoto and ultrawide. Now downgrade to smaller 1/2.51"????? 🤔 No thanks 😑

Imx598 : 1/2" (8mm diagonal)
Imx858: 1/2.51" ( 7,1mm diagonal)

I'm more interested to see the dual aperture and how that pans out than the zoom. An f4.0 aperture could be useful for some daytime scenarios with the imx989 to keep more in focus. The zoom range should also be good but not expecting the shorter range zoom to be not as good as the find x6 pro at least in less than ideal lighting. It will be difficult for 1/2.51" sensors to match 1/1.56" ones. Overall though this looks promising. If only they can match the price of the find x6 pro.. I hope they can also give better band support on this phone to match the flagships from the other Chinese brands
