I am guessing this will be more of an enterprise thing? Also apple usually sticks the landing but I am a little worried about this one. Rumour has it that the engineers don't want to release it yet but Timmy pulled the trigger. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Instead of this overpriced headset i am waiting for Meta Quest 3 which will be 300-500 dollars and be almost as good as this Apple headset.
One thing which is strange why Google, Meta, Apple has still not released proper AR glasses which would look like regular glasses but could eventually replace smartphones?

Terrible build quality and iOS these days is a bug filled frustrating mess. It couldn’t be further from “Perfection”!

An OS with no official Instagram app, blown up phone apps which scale horribly, and still no proper file manager or calculator app? A windows machine from 10 years ago has more fundamental features than current IPadOS.

He was actually talking about the fact that no one cares, not about the not working part, that you assumed. Yeah apple might make it's fan base think they they suddently need some stupid glasses on their eyes, but well, thats pretty much it.
If their is something that makes sense in the VR are the enterprise level hololens. That can make peoples jobs easier, any consumer level VR is just another something to milk the money out of the fanbase.

I reckon this probably will sell at least somewhat well because... you know, Apple - but I doubt the first iteration will boost the WHOLE industry especially when Meta is selling headsets for what is likely nearly a tenth of the price of Apple's.

I've bought the cheapest available ipad the other day (first Apple product I ever bought btw.) and I gotta say the software is a definition of perfection. If they will develop the headset's software with same precision, count me in.
