But with future iterations, I think... morei think it would be silly of them to continue down that path, i doubt the 5s will get any bigger, but the iPhone 6(next years model) could see a wider screen with a better display and thus being able to add another column of icons, in my view it is dead and boring looking, i jailbroken my iPad because it is just so DULL and now it looks really good, the problem is though that while people will continue to buy the IOS devices they will continue to focus on profit, and keep churning out device after device, personally i would prefer they redesigned the UI and its internals,to allow for better support for software, hardware, and multimedia, but i doubt it will happen any time soon

And 4s is meant to compete with galaxy nexus and s2
And i5 is meant to compete with s3

before you go begging for USB OTG or MTP (Both present on galaxy line up) first i would seriously address the codec support,(or lack of) support avi and other closed of formats, just because they are not apple, allow for bluetooth transfer to computers and devices other then apple, yes there are other methods but this is free, requires no data plan and is simple as 2-3 clicks, USB storage mode would be good, simple drag and drop files onto the phone memory rather then stupid sync to iTunes blah blah, its the little thing that apple fail to address that make them lag behind the competition, yes they may sell more phones or equal with samsung in terms of sales now, but people want more from their phones then apple will give them. if they apply the simple fixes extras listed to the next model i reckon they would claw some of the customers back from android, choose apple and get a closed in os with lack of external support for any software other then apples, choose android and while you may not have the safety net that encompasses apple, you will no doubt have out of the box full control over your device, without the need for jailbreaking/rooting, with a flagship you will probably be able to do just about anything with it out of the box. FACT!

12MP will not help at all... In contrary. More MP on such a tiny sensor will make the pictures even worse.

Camera will get better. But with future iterations, I think Apple doesn't know where to go with their OS. They can't just keep adding icons in their springboard, can they? All I'm saying is the simple interface that worked from the beginning might get complicated to use too.

It seems there is a misconception of what USB On The Go (OTG)really is. USB OTG is the ability to connect USB flash drives/hard drives, memory-cards, etc to your phone and then transfer data to/from them or simply reading data from them. For example, I often connect my USB thumb drive to my Galaxy Nexus and play HD movies which are larger than 16GB. Or sometimes, when there's a power-point file I need to share with my colleagues, they will give me their USB thumb drive, and I will copy the file from my phone to their thumb drive. Just like transferring files between computers using flash(thumb) drives and external hard disks.
On the other hand, using an iPhone without iTunes could mean implementation of "USB Storage Mode"(like in galaxy S lineup) or "MTP"(like in nexus line up) where users can simply connect their device to computer and copy/paste files just like they copy/paste from a USB or Multimedia device (without annoying sync software like iTunes).

its a phone........ why is there a need to argue?? theres no such thing as a better phone.... just opinions and different users. 90 yr betty wouldn't want an iphone 5s, she'd want a phone that does nothing other than rings the AA when she breaks down in her car.... get over yourselves.

They will make it 7 % longer and maintain the width. The formula of dimension for the upcoming iphones would be: 0.93 Length x 0.81 Depth x 1.0 Width, where L,D and refers to the dimensions of previous iphone.

Most fanboys here are missing the point. This 12mp camera will be a match, if not better than the one on the SGS4, plus it will be better in low light. The iPhone 4S beat the SGS2's camera hands down in low light.
If you look beyond "bigger and faster is better" then the iPhone 5 packs a hell of a lot into it's small form as well.
Sure, the SGS3 and 4 does more, but it's more gimmicks that the minority will use. I don't think I know anyone (in IT or otherwise) who use their phone as a USB on the go device. They use dedicated memory sticks or external hard drives, lol.

I have the 4S and will not consider upgrading until the screen size is increased from the current 5. I find using the internet irritating because its too small and although the iPhone 5 screen is better, it still is not good enough. Apple should produce a larger screen like Samsung, Sony, etc!

Apple needs to increase the screen display of iPhone in future days to more than 5 inch. Then only it can take the market totally.
