No, the "unlocked" device that will be sold through Google will be sold with Android AOSP and a freely unlocked bootloader instead of Samsung's Android Touchwiz interface. The hardware is basically the same.

Arvindder, 17 Apr 2013dude there is a expansion slot...There is an micro sd card expansion slot but Samsung keeps sticking with the STUPID idea of not allowing apps to install on the card!
note 2 owner who will be after a 32GB version next time.

Imagine this new micro battery which is like tiny chip but stores tremendous amount of charge which can even juice up your car and good thing is it charges at a blink of an eye.. 2014 cellphones will get this, its possible to overclock any chip and we can use gaming desktop like powerful device in our hand which would last for more then a month of powerfull use.and good thing is now its possible to shrink smartphones.

This phone's absolutely amazing but I don't think we need the 16gb version because of apps to be installed. I use a Samsung gs3 so I know what I'm passing through.
