After 5 and the pixel 7 you're not gonna fool me again with your portable stoves

I am pretty happy with the Pixel 7 Pro, so I don't see a compelling reason to upgrade, as I did from the 6 Pro. The battery lasts a day. The cameras are close to the best and for the first time on a Pixel, everything just works, like on the iPhone.

They should honestly consider thinning down the visor. I like the look, but it adds so much thickness.

Since Tensor is based on the lousy Exynos that even Samsung has stopped using in its flagship Galaxy phones, expect mediocre battery life again.

Normies might not care about benchmarks and raw performance, but they will notice the below average battery life compared to the competition.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2023Because Pro and Pro Max are just different sizes. What pi... moreYes I can understand the battery related and screen resolution related compromise, even the RAM is not that huge problem. But set aside camera the Pixel pro and vanilla models (or any other Android Pro/ultra models) compared to the vanilla is literally the same set aside the already listed things plus the camera. I think it is only to keep more money in their pockets, which is of course understandable, or it would be if people like me have not keep themself away from new high end android phones (I am using Galaxy A3 2016).
(I have tried iPhone, but the current iOS is worse than the Android 6 on the A3. It really restricts everything.)

What a stupid decision as always that the smaller phone does not have the good camera option! Can't google understand that a smaller phone does not have to necessary come with low specs!!! Some people don't like huge phones!

I hope they add autofocus to the front camera just like in pixel 3

i was very happy with the pixel 3 and 5. The 8 is sounding pretty good and the size. I really enjoy Pixels delightfully uncomplicated software experience, monthly updates and feature drops.

Pixels aims as to be the best point and shoot camera a phone has to offer. So that means not much tinkering with settings and all, as a point and shoot camera imo they are pretty close to be the best in the business at least in the prices/camera performance category wich is what matter more at least to me.

Why are people shilling for Chinese brand phones on a thread for Google Pixel 8?

Anyone can manufacture/assemble phones in a sweatshop in China. To get a good user experience, you need the software and proper R&D.

Google's stock Android experience is far superior than the various horrible Chinese Android skins. Samsung's OneUI is good too, although Samsung phones preinstall plenty of bloatware.
