For those uneducated fellas (some understandable)
On a phone the part of the frame where the front camera sits the frame is trimmed to a little more than a millimeter in order to push the camera as close to the edge as possible.
On a tablet you have two options.
Either to make the tablet thicker so there will be enough place for the camera module to sit between the the display panel and the bezel which will make the tablet thicker.
The second option is to trimm down the frame just like on a phone and place the cameras as close to the edge as possible and what you will end up is a very weak bend point and compromised structural integrity.to solve this problem there need to be more aluminium aded around the module which will increase the weight of a already heavy device.
Or just put a very small selfie camera module that fits without cutting the display or the frame and you end up with a low quality selfie camera.not acceptable.
So a notch solves both problems and it is the best compromise between looks and physical limitations.

Nedlius, 12 Jun 2023same, a notch on a tablet is a deal breakerOn,y the ultra has it. Even in that you barely notice it while using. If it is pure anesthetics (your argument agsin), I can't add. They are not pretty but I don't care, it's a tablet not a fashion item.

"Higher results" could be down to the fact that GB6.1 results are different (incomparable) to the GB6.0 results since the benchmark has been updated: geekbench. com/blog/2023/06/geekbench-61/
