However that's not the worst thing about that phone, the worst is the front, which is what you would look at the most. Bezels straight out of 2017-2018 and even then budget/entry level phones looked like that.
The A50 with a v/u notch has a much better screen-to-body ratio and is 4 generations old.

With the release of the Poco F5 that is right now cheaper than the Galaxy A54 and has performance comparable to last year's 8+ Gen 1 flagship phones, I seriously doubt that anyone that cares about performance even a little bit would buy the A54. The Poco F5 scores nearly 2.5x more points in 3DMark Wildlife Extreme (a heavy graphics benchmark) than the A54 while being cheaper which is just ridiculous.

just a smile, 23 Jun 2023And you're gonna get only 1 year software update.As someone who changes phones every 2-3 years maximum this isn't much of an issue for me, especially since new Android versions nowadays are simply reskins with minor tweaks here and there.
Plus the restrictions on sideloading that Android 13 already put in place and which Android 14 will strenghten is a misguided move in my opinion.

Still performs like Day 1, I can still get 7 hours of SOT, MIUI is way more stable than it was a year ago and the cameras are still fine. Most of the issues with Xiaomi phones arise from the Redmi series and even then, they're rare.

And that is the advantage of having a Qualcomm chipset or even newer Mediatek ones. Allows custom ROMs to maintain alive the phone.
