the P22 pissed me off so strongly I didnt realize the Max version actually has a half decent Dimensity 700.

    these the type of useless devices that activate intrusive thoughts the likes of taking a JCB straight into their HQ at full throttle.

      people looking for actual field work phones should look into phones verified for Android Enterprise, search 'android enterprise partner devices'. for example Zebra Technologies. not these oh we make decent field vehicles so you'll trust us to make decent phones but they are actually ODM e-waste.

        Lemondroplets, 22 Jun 2023It's a mid-range chipset fyi, and the actual performan... moreis not a mid range chipset is all effieiciency cores, you just compared it to a 6 year old 400 series (entry-level) snapgragon chipset. the cpu support 720p displays only again far from mid range, at this level best you can expect from a camera is to have a photo of readable text from a document in a well lit office. even sunlight photos will get over exposed as if heaven is calling. the soc has quite litereally zero capabilities of doing any post processing on your photo and if expect it to it will lag out for a good few seconds. I am telling all of this for experience because the oldies in my extended family refused to spend more than 200 on a phone and they got these entry level phones where having scrabble, crosswords and 15 chats on whatsapp would make the phone have a stroke. it is not usable. it is a yes you can download whatsapp from the playstore kind if phone.

          Hellio P22 5 years old chip. Garbage.

            I cannot imagine rugged phone without IR and thermal camera now.
            This is clearly overpriced.

                it would've been better with helio p60 for the regular version. or else it will be a door stopper. even helio p22 struggle to run with android 11. but android 13???

                  if there were no casemanufacturers like Poetic, Otterbox, Rhinoshild, Griffon etc. I'd say "go for a rugged phone", but since it's easier to get an old-er flagship and case it into an interchangeable otterbox, I'd say dpnt ever buy a rugged phone.

                      £600 for a helio p22 device, the only advantage that rugged phones have is better shock/drop resistance, everything else is just mediocre except maybe some with thermal and night vision camera which could be somewhat useful in construction and some who enjoy to DIY.

                              I was excited to see new small phone and that processor kills it, completely useless to buy it if newer apps are not supported and speed is slow nowadays too, pitty.

                              So again, no new small phone with jack, sd card and fm radio, sad.
