Samsung Galaxy S23 series gets the camera-improving June update in Europe

It adds a 2x zoom option to the Portrait Mode in the default Camera app.

    Yeah this update its givin me blury on my zoom it feels like after 10x zooming it goes to optical zoom which previous update didn't have

      After the last update, the image from the 10x camera appears greenish compared to x3/x1/x0. I never had this effect before the update.
      Anyone else having this trouble?

          Answering your question. Yes, the "dedicated" x2 zoom is purely digital. And that's the problem as 50 mpx sensor should do lossless x2 zoom, just like Portrait mode x2 does after this update.

            Just got the June update in UK. Performance wise about the same as ever - best the money can buy. Extremely happy and satisfying smartphone

                Not that this performance boost matters but this update brought my RT In Vitro score from 1822 to 2507. Average went from 18.2fps to 25.1fps. That's a pretty substantial ray tracing boost. I wonder what gave that uplift.

                  This comment section is hilarious. Reading people complain about things they obviously now nothing about cracks me up.

                    No matter how much they wanna try they cant fix green scent camera hardware issue with sioftware fix. Thats just not possible.

                      This update clearly demonstrates that Samsung is literally clueless about S23 camera image processing settings. They are experimenting by releasing half baked product.

                      2x lossless zoom on portrait mode? Great, but why can't we have such for REGULAR camera? 2x zoom from regular Photo mode is even worse than it was before the update

                      Also - the processing is a bad experiment. They are trying to remove noise (good), but at the price of fine details. Photos look as if they are taken by low midrange device. It's a disaster.

                        They boast about how they provide many years of software updates and this is what their customer gets with them

                          With F1 normal camera jpg and ExperRAW raw improved a lot, Camera Pro is really bad. Feels a little more snappy

They straight up denied serious issues like display lines after update (S20 and S21 series), motherboard failure (phones using Exynos 9610/9611) and build quality.

                                  Didn't make any updates from day one so I don't heave any issues, as a Samsung user I know that any updates bring a downgrade as well.
