Anonymous, 28 Jun 2023I appreciate HMD's effort to make devices easily repai... moreSame reason fairphone is expensive.

1) making easier to repair requires more efforts when phone is designed. More costs.
2) having suppliers to supply parts for that long, more money

I appreciate HMD's effort to make devices easily repairable. I hope other companies follow it.

On the other hand, I think the price is too high for the features. Compared to other companies' devices, there is no pro other than repairability, the cons are much.

        Kirisame, 28 Jun 2023Snapdragon 4 gen 1 and 4 gen 2 do not support 5G mmWave may... more5G mmWave is a failure
will soon be replaced with 5G sub-7

If they are making it repairable, then they should also provide for more years of updates and security patches.
It's because of unreliable software policy that I am avoiding to buy a Nokia and a Motorola. If they improve software things, both are a very good deal. No bloatware software experience is a good thing.

            RGz, 28 Jun 2023The funniest thing is that the SD480+, SD4G1 and SD4G2 are ... more4g1 and 4g2 are based on 695.
            Both use A78.
            480 has A77.

Its funny how ppl bash OnePlus because the N30($200) but kiss Nokia's butt for these kind of phones.

I'm curious why Nokia didn't for the 4 Gen 1. Is it because that chipset is made by Samsung foundry?

50€ for lcd is freaking expensive

Even though the 480+ is old, this phone would've made sense at 150-200$. 250$ is just way too much

While Nokia phones aren't the best value, I'm glad HMD is putting in effort to make their phones more repairable. I hope more brands follow.
