But gaming and media isn't something I would use for a 5.9" screen. It'd be great if we can get a 6.1" Screen with either 9:5 or 17:9 Aspect Ratio, 3.5mm port, front facing speakers, and a dedicated SD slot. Asus should had gone with eSim, and gave a 1Sim+1SD for their physical Sim card slot.

The ZenFone 6 was the most liked ZenFone since there hand been ZenFones. One reasons is it takes really good selfies and it can use UWA to take selfie. A good alternative to flip would be to change the selfie camera to at least 1/3" and around 21mm, or even better, around 18mm. Instead of 28mm, which is really useless.

Even other brands have stopped with those approaches. Consumers dont mind holes/notches nowadays.

It's competition is Iphone 14 and Samsung S23 with it's price and phone size too
Where it has more change to sell more is where the competition would be something like Poco X5 Pro and Galaxy A34 by performance power and also price range.
People who want compact phones dont want it for gaming but want good enough performance so it last for long time.
At least for me that is so as why i would like to have more compact phone is that it be more pocket friendly to fit in every pocket and dont need to have a bag with you for the phone.
Something 250-400 euro range be nice for compact phone that dont have multiple cameras and so on. One wide camera be enough and 5.5inch screen be also enough.
And from Antutu v9 score something 400k to 700k be enough too so the phone last for 5 plus years. But there are none and this Zenfone 10 in it's competition i would rather go with S23 even tough it dont have 3.5mm jack like Zenfone 10 have that be a small loss.

I was disappointed to see that a new phone like zenfone 10 still does not have front facing speakers, for better sound experience. (Like Rog phone and Xperia)
Asus left this market to Sony.
I wish success to Asus.

I will have to go back to Samsung with the s23 ultra and its 6.8 panel, which I also rarely find anymore
