Bendable displays bring evolution to mobile devices. No glass will mean no more annoying reflections, glares, screen breaks and bendable tech will allow for phone geometry to finally break away from the same stupid generic look that has just been so god damn boring to look at for all these years. Every phone literally has looked exactly the same as the other one, and the next one, and the ..... other next one. Now all that needs to be done is a complete re-invention of all the lame operating systems that currently are coming with these phones. Bring it already, done right

this is what nokia said "Nokia released a computer-generated video demonstrating the capabilities the Morph might have if it were a real mobile phone."
Please read the entire Wikipedia article not just the computer generated pic. LoL
unlike Samsung who actually showed and demonstrated a real phone...

INARU MEJIL, 25 Apr 2013It was NOKIA WHO SHOW IT FIRST actually a few years ago. ... moreSamsung have already shown a prototype of a flexi-screen phone which I dont think Nokia have done (Coudlnt say for sure).
But as far as I am aware Samsung have also patented flexible screens which if i am correct could lead to some more court appearances from Samsung.

INARU MEJIL, 25 Apr 2013AWESOME. They talk and talk about Iphone or Samsung. BUT ... moreLG is just trying to be noisy.. They just try to release everything first but don't sell well.Because they lack in other departments..Who knows Samsung may surprise everyone with note 3 and its flexible display before LG's announcement. Afterall they are not noisy like LG..LG should understand that they should wait for the right time and not bringing out to market just for the sake of being 'FIRST;..

Hmmm, 25 Apr 2013pointless unless all of the phone can bend. just another ma... moreIt's not just a marketing gimmick. It will definitely make the phone a lot tougher and maybe say goodbye to the shattered screen. And more than likely one day, quite a few years, we will be able to wrap it around our wrist!.

Flexible screen does NOT necessarily mean a flexible phone.

It could mean the screen may be curved a certain way, or it could simply be like a normal phone, but the flexible screen simply increases its durability.

Flexible screen means they cau use curvature on the screen rather than the traditional flat screen, Wich allow designers to get advantage of a bigger screen size without making a bigger footprint of the device istself. Looging forward to see if LG will have it abailable to the public first, and not just another demo prototype like Nokia or Samsung so far has shown.
