Give me both and everyone is happy.Agreed as someone who actually owns multiple pairs $1000-2000 headphones and several $300 IEMs, using a dongle sucks USB-C for audio is a pain in the ass and like 99% of the time you never have it on you or bother to use it. Having an internal DAC and power output is so much more conveinent than bluetooth or dongle. Ive prob broke or lost three or four nicer $100 dongles now, having the power output from them is nice but its far more apparent to own shitty $10-20 dongles cause you will 100% lose or break them. Whereas in ownership and practice you can basically never break or lose an internal jack.... Not to mention modern headphone jacks are generally waterproof anyways. Ive never had an issue bringing any old phones or tablets into the shower and they always work just fine afterwards.
All in all THE DONGLE SUCKS. Just give me a headphone jack and call it a day.

Do we know which stylus is being supported by the Legion Y700 2023? I've been trying with my precision pen 2 and it's not working but in ZUI 15, it does show stylus support

uphilme247, 26 Jul 2023what a shame they kept the same battery as last year! That ... moreWhat is your problem ? I own a Y700 v2022 , the battery is adequate, good for me to play game for 4-5 hours at least, Google Play and Settings Menu in English worked flawlessly in my China Rom.

what a shame they kept the same battery as last year! That was one of the reasons I got rid of it! The battery life sucked! and some of the tablet was still in Chinese with a few glitches. I really wish Samsung would make a powerful 8 inch tablet.

If you buy premium headphones, the 3.5mm jack has serious limitations in powering the headphone, this is where the additional USB-C shines, if you're able to get an adapter it should improve sound quality to your headphones.

I don't get it.
I can understand and point of dual USB-C, but I don't understand why it cost the headphone jack (especially when smaller devices with the same number of ports also have it). Maybe it's just to fix the issue of charging whole using wired headphones, but that's an issue the Y700 was already immune to.
Still, at least the back isn't glass anymore (even if I'd prefer plastic for wireless charging, I can understand that's not ideal for thermals).
Hopefully the Y800 I've seen mentioned online might actually exist one day (that was OLED).

enpy, 21 Jul 2023Do you have proof that Asus still put a headphone jack?ROG Phone 5, 6, and 7. ASUS dropped the headphone jack for ROG Phone 3 but put it back since the ROG Phone 5. In fact, the ROG Phone 5 even has an ESS Sabre DAC audio.

I have the Gen 1 of this tablet. Its fantastic except for Chinese ROM. The language is changed to English and Play Store is installed. However still 30% of the tablet is Chinese language. Since the Gen 2 is a global release, I wish we could use the international ROM from Gen 2 to replace the Chinese one in Gen 1 Y700 without losing any features or capabilities.

In the case of ASUS, the bottom USB-C can go wired video output (e.g. connected to an external monitor or a lapdock), while the side USB-C is only for charging and USB OTG.

Having a USB-C port in the bottom means you can charge your phone while playing (lenovo legion usually has bypass charging mode) without obstructing your hand with a usb cord when using the side USB-C port.

Without the LTE it's really a massive let down since if something happens to the motherboard or poor software update it will also affected the WiFi making it unable to connect to internet.
But with LTE that problem can be easily solve.
Unlike Samsung they have store everywhere internationally so if something happens to their tablets it's very easy to claim warranty at physical stores since their components products also sold internationally.
Unlike Lenovo they don't have many store physically & not every product sold internationally so it's hard to claim warranty for certain products especially tablet like this.

The screen not being OLED is so disappointing, although I expected it given the first version of this wasn't either. Won't bother with it cuz I watch stuff primarily in bed and can't be dealing with ips glow...
