One way or another Xiaomi Redmi models are absolutely san honestly value for money devices with great specs and well built devices depending the codt either some likes it or not, period!

If you want updates, buy Samsung.
You buy Xiaomi to get best value in spec for the price. Software is secondary. MiUI sucks and very buggy. And considering Xiaomi doesn't care in updating their phones timely, many people pretty much are left with a buggy phone. Xiaomi is popular with the tech enthusiasts due to cheap hardware and custom ROM. Regular consumers should stay away from Xiaomi unless they just cannot afford a Samsung.

It only started selling in January 2023 and is still on the February security patch at the end of July. I don't care about security patches but would like some camera updates. I don't think they've had any camera optimizing update in the first 7 months. The just added some filters in one update but no optimization at all. It's quite disappointing
