I have installed my ps4 pro in my bedroom, but the ps5 is in my lounge. they don't conflict.
best aspect, psn purchases can be downloaded twice

Vita was released in 2011 so it should be paired up with iphone 4S in 2011 that actually sold 60+million. And in terms with it's handheld competitor at that time the 3DS/2DS had sold almost 80 million in its lifetime according to wiki.
PS Vita didn't even reach 20 million & it's not even an official estimate as Sony stopped releasing publicly it's sales after the huge flop in it's generation.

Sony should really consider adding a free playstation to xperia 1, no joke intended.
If they could do Play Anywhere alternative, it would be even better.
Even without PS, VR gear would be needed and is more futureproof than something that's already outrun by mobile gaming.
They missed the chance to bring out gaming focused phones, but it's not just about hw and design, options like the ones mentioned before matters too for better customer reach.

I thought I'd not play as many games as on my PS4, but 2 years in with the PS5 and I've played more than twice as much and completed most of my game backlog thanks to the PS5's impressive 60fps high resolution modes and PS Plus Extra. Everything looks perfect and buttery smooth. Value for money at this price.
God of War Ragnarok, Horizon, Resident Evil and Returnal alone make the PS5 a worthy purchase with the Dualsense controller making the gameplay even better than any other platform currently available.

Anonymous, 29 Jul 2023Oh you're talking about those flop handhelds that were... morePS Vita might've been a sales failure but it still sold better than the first generation iPhone, HTC One M7/M8/M9, any Sony Xperia, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, and Wii U. Vita outsold every Sega console except the Genesis/Mega Drive.
I no longer game on home consoles. I only play handhelds. I have other things I do, so I rarely have time to game especially at home. I game on my modded PSP, modded Vita, and Switch Lite with an SN30 Pro and a case that offers a kickstand.
PS5 doesn't interest me as much as a Steam Deck.

There is no incentive to risk hundreds of millions to make a complete game that might not sell well. You better off to keep making copy of already the successful game every year with true tried formula with just different skin.
