They outsold all the manufacturers you mentioned except Huawei. Samsung does not have to be the #1 seller of foldables in CN. They just have to compete as they have been doing.
Here is the bottom line. People in CN are still buying the Z Fold despite having "better" options. Also, clamshells outsell book folds and Samsung still has the best overall flip.

As expected Fold 5 dropped and the war hasn't even started with the Big Foldables with Oneplus Open and, Xiaomi Mi Mix3 and the one to beat Honor Magic v2 (expected to launch in EU at the very least).
Samsung would be soiling in their pants if all the above majors launch globally especially the US and Euro market.
Shame on them went from pioneers to laggards because they chose to sit on their laurels for the last few years on the Fold; now they are behind the major players in terms of designs, camera and battery, now can only compete with just software and maybe repairs as their only selling point lol.

It is because they don't have other options yet. If Magic V2, OnePlus open, Xiaomi fold 3 were already in the market, people have chosen some other option instead of Galaxy fold.
