Anonymous, 13 Aug 2023Bezels, bezels, bezels. Unnecessary!Depending what bezel you are referring to.
The raised bezel protects the screen. This is why I am only interested in the Samsung classic range. The pro is also ok, but I use the rotating bezel so frequently that I waited for the watch 6 to upgrade. If it came without a bezel I would have bought the 5 pro or 4 classic.

justasmile, 13 Aug 2023Samsung should make a squared smartwatch, like Apple's... moreNo, I buy it because it is round. It looks like a classic watch. And very happy the brought back the rotating bezel.
People who like square watches can always buy Apple.

″On a less positive note, the Galaxy Watch6 claimed the distance was 12.5km, the Watch4 said it was 13.5km, while the Watch3 was 1km behind - all three used GPS the entire time - weird."

With these I see SmartWatchs on do what they are programmed to do . If you check the result from other brands the results will still be different,
In all this I find SmartWatchs non reliable

In India, we are yet to get full features of watch 5 and 5 pro, like tap to pay and ECG, and samsung is launching new series.

Ever since Samsung started making "smart" watches it's been a disaster: horrible choice of OS (Tizen), extremely small app store with a bloat of mostly commercial watch faces many of which had battery issues (very poor optimization). No major music apps jumped onboard - Spotify launched an app but it barely worked, never bother fixing it as almost nobody uses Samsung watches.
The stupid foem factor does not help, neither the zero compatibility of bands between watch generations.
The watch as-is was also bloated with a myriad of unnecessary warnings/popups and was just a hassle. It's a real shame, because instead of just following the same path Apple did with its watch they went their own way and made a gimmick toy. What's even worse they never learned trough the many generations of the watch so they just keep out spewing a remake of the same thing.

pedro, 13 Aug 202350 meters of worry-free diving if you do not press a button... moreif you want utility overall, get this, if you want a watch that'll show you the time in any conditions get the casio. This is a smart watch, not just a watch, compromises are made in order to make this appealing to the most amount of people and in order to do the most amount of things it can. This is also a cool fashion statement ofc, idk about you but Casio watches look like something my grand dad would wear

pedro, 13 Aug 202350 meters of worry-free diving if you do not press a button... moreBro has no idea about tech.

Samsung should make a squared smartwatch, like Apple's. At least there won't be any wasted space, and there are plenty of squared classic watches so the design isn't really ruined.

pedro, 13 Aug 202350 meters of worry-free diving if you do not press a button... moreDoes a 30year old casio have the same smartwatch capabilities as the Galaxy Watch 6?
                        What pointless comparison is this??

pedro, 13 Aug 202350 meters of worry-free diving if you do not press a button... moreI'm pretty sure the Watch might survive a dive. Problem is, the battery might not find it funny.

Casio uses CR2032 batteries which are sealed off from the factory.

pedro, 13 Aug 202350 meters of worry-free diving if you do not press a button... morePeople keep forgetting that simplicity of old stuff like a Casio watch is one of the reasons they survive more.

I had a Casio with damage, so it wasn’t waterproof anymore yet it didn’t die after a swim, the screen only got weird for few hours before it was fully dry.

Smartwatches would never survive anything like it of the seal has even the smallest gap.

50 meters of worry-free diving if you do not press a button. A 30 year old casio could deal with that. It should not be that hard for samsung. Also water damage is not covered by warranty.
