As I said it, that link is an addition to my comment that is waiting approval meaning you couldn't see it yet, but in that comment I do mention that the Dimensity 1080 is the better chipsets and I knew that, and it's obvious. Please don't start this argument over again, something like the A34 and this phone are for completely different type of people. If you don't need ultra high res selfies of yourself and don't like curved displays, you obviusly don't need this phone, but some do, that's that.

      Secondly, the V29e supports 1080P 60FPS on the rear camera, 30FPS max on the fron tho, unfortunatelly.

        There's also an option to record 1080p 60fps for the A34 which both chipsets do support, but greedy Vivo just limits it to 1080p 30fps.

Either way, you don't have to convince me that the Dimensity 1080 is a better chipset than the 695, yeah it is better obviusly, our talk simply wasn't about 2 chipset, but rather 2 phones for. Two phones that are both for different people and for different markets entirely.

          For example vivo phones aren't sold in my country at all, none of them are, the company doesn't exist herey yet I still choose their phones over the boring local models. Should/will everyone do this? Of course not, absolutely not. Have I made a bad decision? Nope, I haven't.

          I know that, as I don't game on my phones at all. However I'd say you got that backwards, the GPU is a lot better in the Mediatek chipset, so it would perform a lot better than the 695, but their CPUs are basically identical. (Dimensity is better, but only slightly.)

Whenever I get a new phone I download a handful of trusted well known apps from the Google Play Store and that's all I download. (Obviusly I download pictures as well, but those all come from an App that I download from the Play Store.)

              You just have to be careful with your phone and you won't run into issues.

                  Not to mention that Android 14 was just announced recently, barely any phone has it. So any phone that's currently running Android 13 with anything, but the October security patch, is somehow instantly out of date? (That's almost all phones out there right now, including Samsung phones, vivo phones, Xiaomi phones, anything, whether recent or not.)

                      No way Android 14 can't be hacked by professional hackers.

                      Not sure about other phones, but the vivo X Note for sure has a feature that blocks SMS and Calls from unknown numbers, which I do have turned on, so that's that.

                          You don't understand what preference means, do you? To me flat screen is a deal breaker, but I wouldn't call it useless, I simply PREFER curved.

                          You can use a phone with Android 12 for however long you want to, it doesn't make a single bit of difference. Don't even start talking about security issues to me. If you have Android 14 with latest security update on your phone but you wander onto unsecure websites and give them your data, then it will be stolen. Same way if you don't wander onto unsecure websites on a phone that has Android 12, then your data won't be stolen. Easy and simple as that.

                              As I said it in my previous comment, pick whatever fits your needs, if you need the most powerful phone at this price point, this ain't it, if you need the best selfies at this price point and a curved display this is it, if you need stereo speakers then again this ain't it. This is just a phone, not your enemy. It's a midrange phone, you can't have everything in one of these, if you want everything in one go then you are looking at flagship phones at flagship prices.

                                Samsung mid-rangers have better update support (useful if you plan to use your phone for long) and at this price point, would have better chipsets than the 695. Phones with Snapdrgaon 695 should be saved for the budget category instead and this ain't one.

Samsung isn't doing anything that's magically better at this price point, they aren't worse but not any better. This is the budget-midrange segment, it's not a flagship.

                                  Samsung at this price point has stereo speakers of course, but has way slower charging and worse selfie cameras and no curved display. Are these important features to YOU? Maybe, maybe not, to many they are and to another lot they aren't. The smartphone market is extremely saturated, you can easily choose whatever fits your needs. This doesn't fit mine, and neither does something like an A54, but of course not, I mean I have enough for a flagship.
