And Sony beats them all on over pricing while offering less and being more buggy for things that only fanboys defend.

I remember buying a brand new Xiaomi 13, sealed, straight from China with Chinese firmware, and the thing had pitting on the glass from the factory LOL.
Another time back in the day I bought a Redmi, forget which one, and the metal contacts in the sim card slot broke.
Let's also not forget that most, if not all, of these Chinese phones actively monitor and steal user information and send it back to China and probably also sell it to third parties.

Though they are starting to not lack quite as much in some of those areas the last one or two devices.

Somehow in the US they are priced more than Samsung or Apple even though they would do really well if they were the same price

But hey, even Apple (a company that takes extra steps to make the repair process pretty much effortless) had its "you're holding it wrong" moments.
The gripe I have with Samsung and LG is, they don't seem to be improving entirely much. Yeah idiot me keeps on buying their products and getting burned lol

But the Asian market is full of chinese phones and buyers of such phones can't accept a non apple or Samsung phone to cost that much. Even outside Asia, buyers are the same. Like it's a rule that only apple and Samsung phones can be a thousand otherwise it's overpriced. The lack of logic is appalling in the people that call this phone overpriced

Just being a little less processed but still over processed with their only real strength being more accurate colors does not make them magically way ahead of the rest or dslr level.

But Sony is difficult to buy in Europe, prices are high, right now in my country, Galaxy S23 ultra is around 930 Euros, while 1 V starts from 1350. I HATE Samsung and have never bought it in my whole life, but 400 Euros difference is insane. 5V is also going to be more expensive than s23 ultra.

" - with omission of the telephoto sensor, this phone loses "Photo Pro" aspect, this is not a phone with great camera anymore, just one with a good main sensor and that's it. I already argued with someone on IG, failing to include a telephoto in 5 series will lead to the failure of this phone. I think that Sony might be even doing that on purpose, to discontinue 5 series on one or 2 generations.
